A Conversation

The other day, one of the residents where I live and I had this conversation:

She: When did you dye your hair?
I: I didn't dye it; I cut it.
She: I see that you cut it, but you dyed it, too, right?
I: No. I just wear it differently now that it's short, so more grey shows.
She: Really? It looks dyed. I thought you dyed it because you were in a play or something.

I might start telling people that I dyed it because I've taken up theater.

funny. I guess people are looking for a bit of drama or gossip to entertain them so you got to give it to them!

not theater. opera. tell them you are the new 'carmen'. grey hair is the new 'black'. but that doesn't make sense. if I were there I would explain it!

I could tell how much efforts you've taken on it.
Keep doing!

Hey, so I really have a taste for some Pho? Ga (The question mark is for pronunciation purposes). We have no good Vietnamese restaurants in Tulsa and the last time I had it was about 6 months ago in Dallas at a Chinese restaurant. They added some additional vegetables to it for me so it had some shredded carrots, snap peas, and broccoli and they were the perfect amount of fresh and crispy. And I figured if anybody would be interested in experimenting with Pho Ga recipes, it would be you :-) So I think I'm going to buy ingredients tonight and make it. Can you make some too and we'll compare? I miss cooking with you in Granaa.
XOXO

How does grey go away when it cut? It doesn't. You dyed it

Anonymous,

The grey didn't go away when I got my hair cut; it became much more obvious. They thought I dyed it grey.
